Browse All TopicsI want to replace my existing 1.8Ghz 512Mb 40Gb bit and peices server for my new shiny Xeon 3.2, 2Gb, RAID 5 poweredge.
All (i say all as surely there is a simple way) i want to do is have everything as it is on my old server on my new server. I have 10 client machines and it would be great to just plug the network cable in and off we go... email intact, files, permissions, ip addresses... etc
I thought of cloning the hard drive and running a windows repair?? (although i understand this may cause licensing issues as the old server has oem and the new one has new oem (could the key be changed to match the new COA)
what do you think.
Many thanks leigh
