Change sharepoint site port from 444 to 443.

I am new to sharepoint and sbs. I have installed sbs. I got exchange and sharepoint running properly. However I need to move the sharepoint site from the default 444 to 443.
I tried changing the port of company web in the iis and swapped its port with that of the default website. It seems to be working; but I am uncertain of the implications of what i did. What could go wrong with what I did? Did I do the right thing?
Is there any other way to change the sharepoint's port?

I found something on google saying:
"to run the sharepoint part of TFS on a different port number, Just change the port number in IIS for Default website and register the new port for TFS through tfsreg.exe. also, a registry edit is necessary, otherwise the report server cannot be found bby TFS. Open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\8.0\TeamFoundation\ReportServer
and set "Key"="http://TFSServer:[port]" "

I am not comfortable with reg edit and am wondering what TFS does. What does tfsreg.exe do? Why is the reg edit necessary?Start Free Trial
