Our SBS 2003 Server seems to be stopping the server service on a constant basis and we can't determine why. The Event Viewer doesn't contain any errors, except that the service just stops and cannot be restarted automatically. The server had no problems since April 2005, its just within the last month this started happening, once or twice a week at first, now once a day, with occassional restarts besides. It's causing major problems on our network with the users.
We have Exchange Server installed on it as well, but just as a mail store on the SMTP side, mail is hosted through our ISP. In addition, Symantec Corporate Anti-Virus is installed. GPO is enabled on ADS.
The server is pretty basic, but with this frequently happening we're in deserate need of some advice. Microsoft didn't have any opinion except to reload the OS, which we want as the last alternative.
Any ideas???
