P. S. Why are you not running setup to reinstall the Administration Component?

Browse All TopicsI've inherited a couple year old SBS network at my new company, and the external IT company left it in various states of brokeness. I've fixed most of it up, but I'm wondering about fixing the SBS wizards.
If I try the Add User Wizard, I get 'The Required organizational units do not exist and are required by the wizard. Run Small Business Server Setup again, and reinstall the administration component.'
I'll be treading very lightly because we have over 50 users (25 concurrent) and it's at a remote location. Is there an easy and safe way to fix this... where should I start. All the SBS OU's that I'm used to are there, so I'm not sure what to check.

Thanks Jeff, I've been out of town and forgot to check this. I have all those OU's but I still get the error message. I didn't want to run setup again, because I wasn't sure what the consequences were. I was hoping someone had recieved and resolved this error message.
I only mentioned the number of users to clarify the number of pissed off people there will be if user accounts get hosed :)
Why? Nobody ever sees that. The issue is that then the wizards would need to have another layer of complexity which we know they certainly don't need.
The fact is that Microsoft was originally going to also use a default, non-changable internal Domain name (SmallBusiness.local), but I guess even more people complained about that one.

Well, Microsoft has done away with "My" in Vista... so perhaps they'll do away with it in the next release of SBS and it'll be called something that you'd be more agreeable with.
However, I don't know of ANY small business users that browse AD. What would they be looking for and why?
The only thing I can think of is adding printers, and that doesn't bring up the OU's unless you click "browse...". which most don't because they click "Find" which searches the entire AD and doesn't show OU's.

I'm not sure what OU's you are used to working with, but the following are the default SBS OU's
domain.local
MyBusiness
Computers
SBSComputers
SBSServers
Distribution Groups
Security Groups
Users
SBSUsers
There are other OUs, of course, but the ones above are the required defaults that make the wizards work.
