Browse All TopicsI have a SBS 2003 R2 system that the server service wants to die randomly. I can restart it manually but the automatic restart after failure does not seem to work. I looked in the system log and found this
The Server service terminated with the following error:
Access is denied.
I have read the posts saying to reinstall sp1 but I am not sure if they apply to a R2 install.

I am so sorry that I didn't get back to you on this last week... it's been completely hectic for me lately.
At any rate, in reviewing your issue again, if the automatic restart isn't working... I would focus on this being a hardware issue and run diagnostics on your motherboard. If you have a Dell or HP server, their built-in diags should work fine for that.
