Hi

This problem and was introduced by SQL Server 2005 SP2 and throws these errors in the application event log when my SBS 2003 R2 NTBackup Starts ...

EventID: 1

SQLVDI: Loc=CVDS::Cleanup. Desc=Release(ClientAliveMutex). ErrorCode=(288)Attempt to release mutex not owned by caller.
. Process=7160. Thread=3220. Client. Instance=WSUS. VD=.

Here are the errors per SQL Instance on the server:

WSUS = 4 identical errors
SHAREPOINT = 5 identical errors
SBSMONITORING = 3 identical errors
MSFW = 16 identical errors

Any help would be appreciated as there seems to be no help out there, including Microsoft KB ...
