SBS 2003, new install. have 2 network cards in server and a 2wire 2700 HG modem from Qwest. My question is how to configure that modem, I would've assumed I could put it in transparent bridging mode and run the internet connection wizard, tell it ppp0e username and password and our static ip address. However, that did not seem to work, would not connect. I can connect if I leave the modem in ppp0e with the username and password entered on the modem, using the sbs wizard also set that for ppp0e and although I am connected some web pages come up, others never load. I think with ppp0e enabled on the modem it is doing NAT which is affecting DNS as I'm getting an message in Dns log to that affect. That event is

The DNS server could not signal the service "NAT". The error was 1168. There may be interoperability problems between the DNS service and this service.
I can turn off dhcp on the modem but can find nowhere to turn off NAT. There is some documenation on Qwest's website for this modem. I did set it for transparent bridging, however there are a couple of others settings which I did not check as I couldn't get to Qwest's website to pull up any documentation so I just set transparent bridgng and ran icew.
