I'm running Small Business Server 2003 SP1.
I have about 9 schedules tasks, most of them running every day or at least once a week. Some of them are backups, while some are simply batch files trying to run. I continue to get "could not start" errors for all of them. The errors all appear to be something like this:
"shutdown-student.job" (shutdown-student.bat) 9/20/2007 4:00:00 AM ** ERROR **
The attempt to retrieve account information for the specified task failed; therefore, the task did not run. Either an error occurred, or no account information existed for the task.
The specific error is:
0x8004130f: No account information could be found in the Task Scheduler security database for the task indicated.
I've gone through and re-entered the passwords for all these tasks, and they'll start working after I do that but then they eventually stop again. It seems the last time they were working, but then stopped, this preceeded the event in the logs:
"Task Scheduler Service"
Exited at 9/20/2007 3:34:18 AM
"Task Scheduler Service"
Started at 9/20/2007 3:41:04 AM
"Task Scheduler Service"
5.2.3790.1830 (srv03_sp1_rtm.050324-1447
)
The events do not require a user be logged on. They're set to run as Administrator and the password has not changed. If I try to manually run one they don't work--I have to re-enter the password first.
I've found several pages on Microsoft referring to this error, but nothing for SBS 2003. One page for a previous Windows version describes the ST security database being corrupted and then erased once that happens, and that tasks originally scheduled to run as a different username will be changed to Administrator. Well ,mine are always set to run as Administrator so I'm not sure whether or not this is the case.
Can anyone help??
