Trusts between 2003 Server and SBS 2003 Server
Hello all,
My questions is this, can you have forest trusts between 2003 Server and SBS 2003 both obviously on two different sites, forests and domains?
I'm aware you can create trusts between two 2003 servers in different forests.
Assuming your answer is no can you add a DC in the SBS 2003 domain which is just a 2003 server and then create a forest trust between another forest?
My aim is to setup a 2003 DFS replica between the two networks, so any other ways around the issue would be good.
Thanks in advance.

Dave, will that work. 2nd Dc in the SBS root forest which use's a DFS link to another Forest over the Internet (vpn)?. What about credentials etc.
Basically is there any way to make two non related servers communicate over a VPN to sync folders using DFS 2003 R2 preferably?

no, they must be of the same domain, with the SBS2003 server being the root of the forest, or you cannot do it. its part of the SBS EULA+ limitations of SBS
DFS replication is integrated with AD, so without it between the servers you are out of luck.

OK guys, anoher great idea has to be scrapped, I will have to go and get some other no AD version of DFS to sync multiple remote servers files back to one HQ server.
