Moving User Shared Folder in SBS 2003

Asked by abatemc in SBS Small Business Server

Tags: , , ,

Being my first SBS install, I didn't realize that the Users Shared Files folder  was automatically going to be kept on the C drive. I'm getting worried about the increasing size and want to move it over onto the data drive.  I have document redirection on and the size is getting up there. Can I just copy and paste the data into a new folder on my data drive and then just change the share target? I'm nervous to change any defaults in SBS becuase of it's 'heavy under the hood' structure.  Any help would be great. Thanks.Start Free Trial
