i have a server running windows 2003 sbs service pack 2. i want to connect my palm treo 750 (running windows mobile 5.0) to my exchange server.
i have done this on about 20 servers so i know the basics!!!
the issue i am having is as follows:
my phone connects to the server ok (i know this because if i enter the wrong password it wont connect)
however when the display should be saying "looking for changes" it gives an "error in connection" message right after "synchronising folders"
i have all the necessary ports open in my firewall. Remote Web Workplace works fine, Outlook via the internet works fine, owa works fine.
i have also tried to get a nokia e61 to connect...this phones also connects successfully but will now synchronize the data.
i did not set-up this server. we have recently taken over the maintenance from another company so they must have something disabled that i do not know about. the user i am trying to connect as has is a "power user". i have selected "outlook mobile access" while runngin the sbs wizard.
i would be VERY grateful if anyine could shed some llight on this for me. i cannot thing of anything else to check!!! Please help!!!
