Entourage 2008 Set up for Exchange on SBS 2003
How do I set up Entourage 2008 (full) to access the Exchange Server on SBS 2003?
1. I have connected to the server, I can see a directory of all users through "Directory" on Leopard.
2. I can connect to the files on the server vis SMB
3. Using Vmware Fusion and Win XP, I can connect Outlook to the Exchange Server
4. I have tried all of the things that I have found on the internet, but I get a message saying that the user name/password are incorrect.
I do not know what to do. If someone could give me a step by step set of instructions, I would appreciate it very much.

Hi vishal,
The entry for the exchange server HAS TO BE the FQDN or the IP address of the exchange server, with prefix https. The authentication will be made using the entered username and windows domainname.
This is working with Entourage 2004 and Entourage 2008.
Doesn't it make sense for you?

Hi
it makes sense but entourage connects with exchange via outlook webaccess through exchange not owa does this makes any sense for you as you just mentioned the fqdn with https: which i bet will not work as entourage is not meant to be connected in this way it need to be via exchange that is /exchange .

OK...it does NOT work with https on my machine, but it appears to work with Http://. Is there a problem using Http and not Https? If not, I do have it working now and apparently my problem is solved.
Depending on the Exchange server configuration (internal redirect or not) it's OK with http. As long as the SSL option for the DAV service has been marked, the connection runs secured.
Thanks

Thank you
Set it up with the admininstrator account to test, as this will work out if its a rights isssue 1st or a networking issue.
I cant help much more than this, as it was a long time ago since i set this software up on a Mac.
