Serious domain errors. Multiple events logged. Many services not starting.

Zones: SBS Small Business Server, Domain Name Service (DNS)

we have SBS 2003 R2 SP2.
Since yesterday evening, email has been down. Upon checking the server, it seems all the errors listed below have the starting point of DNS not working properly. Whern checking the DNS console, neither the forward nor reverse zones are there anymore. I am unable to add a new zone. I get the "partiton not present" error.
We have the following errors in the logs:

4000 - DNS - The DNS server was unable to open Active Directory. This DNS server is configured to obtain and use information from the directory for this zone and is unable to load the zone without it. Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly and reload the zone. The event data is the error code.

4013 - DNS - The DNS server was unable to open the Active Directory. This DNS server is configured to use directory service information and can not operate without access to the directory. The DNS server will wait for the directory to start. If the DNS server is started but the appropriate event has not been logged, then the DNS server is still waiting for the directory to start.

40960 - LSASRV - The Security System detected an authentication error for the server LDAP/GETAFIX. The failure code from authentication protocol Kerberos was "There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request.
(0xc000005e)".

33 - PRINT - The PrintQueue Container could not be found because the DNS Domain name could not be retrieved. Error: 54b

17 - W32 TIME - Time Provider NtpClient: An error occurred during DNS lookup of the manually configured peer 'pool.ntp.org'. NtpClient will try the DNS lookup again in 15 minutes. The error was: No such service is known. The service cannot be found in the specified name space. (0x8007277C)

5781 - NETLOGON - ynamic registration or deletion of one or more DNS records associated with DNS domain 'metfilmschool.local.' failed. These records are used by other computers to locate this server as a domain controller (if the specified domain is an Active Directory domain) or as an LDAP server (if the specified domain is an application partition).

Possible causes of failure include:
- TCP/IP properties of the network connections of this computer contain wrong IP address(es) of the preferred and alternate DNS servers
- Specified preferred and alternate DNS servers are not running
- DNS server(s) primary for the records to be registered is not running
- Preferred or alternate DNS servers are configured with wrong root hints
- Parent DNS zone contains incorrect delegation to the child zone authoritative for the DNS records that failed registration

2114 - MSExchangeDSAccess - Process INETINFO.EXE (PID=2024). Topology Discovery failed, error 0x80040931.

1005 - MSExchangeSA - Unexpected error Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password. Facility: Win32 ID no: 8007052e Microsoft Exchange System Attendant occurred.

1053 - Userenv - Windows cannot determine the user or computer name. (Access is denied. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

It goes on and on. There is another DC on another sattelite site; it still holds the correct data for the DNS zones. I have tried to force replication, but these errors show up on the remote server logs:

12317 - SRMSVC - File Server Resource Manager failed to enumerate share paths or DFS paths. Mappings from local file paths to share and DFS paths may be incomplete or temporarily unavailable. FSRM will retry the operation at a later time.

Error-specific details:
Error: (0x80070005) Access is denied.

Error: (0x8007054b) The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.

4 - Kerberos - The kerberos client received a KRB_AP_ERR_MODIFIED error from the server host/getafix.metfilmschool.local. The target name used was METFILMSCHOOL\GETAFIX$. This indicates that the password used to encrypt the kerberos service ticket is different than that on the target server. Commonly, this is due to identically named machine accounts in the target realm (METFILMSCHOOL.LOCAL), and the client realm. Please contact your system administrator.

I am convinced that the starting point for all of the errors on the SBS server are starting from the lack of DNS zones/AD partiton on the SBS server itself. It cannot load the zone, therefore neither it nor the domain exist.

Please help! This is critical. We have two offices starting work on Monday morning!
