What suggestions (based on actual implementation experience) does any one have for adding a NAS solution to an SBS Virtual Server?
The Guest OS is SBS 2003 Standard Edition running on a Windows Server 2003 host running Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2.
I am running short of disk space on both the guest and host machines, so I am not able to create another virtual disk on the host. I was thinking that adding a NAS box would allow me to create another substantiantial virtual disk drive which could then be hooked up to the SBS Virtual Server. I will also need a solution for keeping the virtual disk drive backed up.
Has anyone experience of having done this, and if so any suggestions for kit that works?
I would be prepared to consider a move to VMWARE if there is a much better solution available there, but would like to investigate Microsoft Virtual Server first.
