  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Having to reconfigure IP settings when remote

Hello there,

I have noted that when I take domain clients with mobile user prvileges away from the local domain, to a home office, I have to give them a specified IP address and settings. Otherwise, they cannot get this info from DHCP on home routers, so dont access the net.

Does setting up the clients via /connectcomputer make it difficult to obtain IP settings on a remote lan?
