User intermittently loses network drives

I have a user who intermittently loses network drives, takes a while to login as well.

The event log is showing a few errors:

Description:
Windows cannot determine the user or computer name. (The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

Hello HayesSSM,

how did you add this computer/user to the SBS domain?
pls give the ipconfig /all of that workstation and the server so I can have a closer look at your dns settings.

Hi All,

Thanks for the replies and sorry for the slow response.

Yes the DNS is correct.  I am not sure how the computer was added, I inheritted the network.

I did however disable folder syncronization as it was causing headaches for everyone.  All other PCs seem to be fine but this one.

I've just heard back from my user and what I've tried so far has not helped.  I am going to try whaty is suggested in mwecomputers last post.

Have applied the suggestion in mwecomputers post and waiting to hear back from the user.  This is a remote operation so responses are sometimes slow.
