How do I change the Remote Desktop Connection URL in SBS?

Asked by FillSee in SBS Small Business Server, Domain Name Service (DNS)

Tags: Microsoft, Small Business Server, SBS 2003 Std R2, Remote Desktop Connection

I have changed the URL for logons with SBS's Remote Desktop Connection (rww.mydomain.co.nz) and set up a new "A" Record with our external DNS provider. I ran the SBS wizards to update Internet and Remote Access settings, then ran the client computer deployment wizard to create new client settings and set them up on a new test client laptop.

When I try  and connect remotely with the test laptop, however, I see the Remote Desktop Connection is still trying to connect to the old domain name (www.mydomain.co.nz).

Does anybody know how to change the URL so that the Remote Desktop Connection is using the correct string?Start Free Trial
