I cannot recieve email to my exchange server

My 2003R2 server has exchange installed and we have used exch for our internal mail but always had pop3 for our external email. I now have a second domain @1234.com, I have installed it in the reciepent polices and also setup email address in active directory users. When I send to this email domain for the outside emails get returned with this error.     You do not have permission to send to this recipient.  For assistance, contact your system administrator.

when I telnet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx 25 I get 220************************ then when I try ehlo it says unreconized command. We thought it could be the PIX but have had it check several times by a certified Cisco person. I even tried a mx record in my dns.Start Free Trial
