Force Client Outlook to AutoArchive

Asked by ArkAdmin in SBS Small Business Server

After an XP Outlook 2003 Client exceeded it's Exchange store size I enabled AutoArchive on the Client for items over 18 months old. However, the Inbox still has items that are 4 years old. Running Tools>Mailbox Cleanup>Autoarchive doesn't seem to help.

How do I force AutoArchive to run on the Clients? AutoArchive is set to the default folder in Documents and settings.

Also, how do I get the mail going again once it has been disabled by reaching maximum store size? Only notification emails are coming in from the local server. Other mail has been blocked for a day or so.

Prior to enabling AutoArchive, in an attempt to downsize the store, I exported several Inbox folders to PST files and then deleted the Inbox folders. Does this reduce the size of the store or just relocate the emails to personal folders in the store?

Ok, maybe one more question, I though that the maximum store size for a user had been increased in SP2 to something like 15G instead of 2G under SBS 2003 SP1.

Thanks in advance.
