I am an IT consultant and I have setup Windows Small Business server 2003 RC2 with exchange in June of 2007.
About 6 weeks ago, I updated the server to WSUS 3.0 and the server seem to stop freezing up, but now we have a new problem.
The server FREEZES at about the same time every day and no one can get into email as the MS Exchange infromation store service stops. IT happens at about 12:30pm and sometimes other times as well. It generates Event ID 7031 and 7032.
7031- "The Microsoft Exchange Information Store service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 1 milliseconds: Restart the service."
Usually the service will start back up after a few minutes or so. Sometimes the server has to be restarted. I have run msconfig and disabled all startup items and non-microsoft services and still had it occur last night at 11:30pm. I did find the following link that feels that the issue was related to a corrupt mailbox rule.
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=938225I did get the hotfix and applied it but that didn't work. I also deleted any and all inbox rules on users mailboxes.
I did more research on this last night and tried some of the things (turn off shadow copies on C and D drives, remove anti-virus software for a short while, etc) but none of these worked.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
