how do I Backup my current SBS2003 Server and Load onto new SBS 2003 Server

Asked by easiman in SBS Small Business Server, Exchange Email Server, Backup & Restore Software

I have a Dell SBS 2003. We use it as a domain controller, exchange server, file server, basically the usual thing you would use an sbs for.

The HD is coming up with errors, so I have got a new server. I know we could have got a replacement drive and made things a little easieer but we really needed a new server anyway. The Server we got is not a Dell and has a differnt cpu and chipset.

I havent installed os on new server yet.

What I want to do is remove the old server and replace it with the new server without disrupting client machines or users.

I have seen a lot of theory on backing up exchange and dont forget AD etcetc.

But what I would really like is if someone could tell me the best/quickest/most reliable way to do this.
