Changed the Computer Name basically from A to B on XP pro station, before all necessary data was accessed. The name change was not fully completed, just followed the wizarrd on the workstation. Now, only able to log onto the XP Pro with the local administrator account. Cannot access the domain with old user account (A) or admin account. (1A)
The old computer account still exists on the (SBS 2003) A). Not able to access the computer via terminal services. and or manage pc from server management computers.... error messages are attached.
The new pc Name created (B) is not showing up in the computers area of server managment (SBS 2003)
What are the exact steps that I need to take to either
1: restore workstation to previous state (before Computer Name Change?)
or --
2: provide another account access to previous employee logon scripts so that the boss can access
the previous employees data?
Ovreall the Boss still needs access to this ex-employees data. Is there a way to go back?
