SBS 2003, I received this message:

The following disk is low on free disk space. Low levels of free disk space can cause performance problems and prevent users from saving files on the disk.

Drive Letter: HarddiskVolume72
Free Disk Space: 0.000000. MB
% Free Disk Space: 0.000000.%

I also received the sdame message for HarddiskVolume 81, 87, and 90 last night.

We backup to a different USB drive each night.  last night we would have backed up to the Tuesday drive.  It is a 250 GB drive and when I checked today the backup was sucessful and there are 27 GB free.

The messages appeared during our normal unattended back up routine.  How do I determine where the problem really is? What is harddisk volumes 72, 81, 87, and 90?

  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.
