I have read the excellent article on how to install a 3rd party SSL certificate on IIS on SBS 2003
http://blogs.technet.com/sbs/archive/2007/08/21/how-to-install-a-public-3rd-party-ssl-certificate-on-iis-on-sbs-2003.aspxbut I as I am about to install a WILDCARD certificate from Godaddy, I am not sure how to proceed. Should I, (as the above link explains) go ahead and create a temporary site under IIS, but in this case, call the site *.mydomain.com (instead of mail.contoso.com)??? And, by the way, why do I have to make a "temporary site"??? The idea with the wildcard SSL certificate is that we would like to have our trusted clients coming in to our intranet site by the way of e.g. "clients.mydomain.com" and for our co-workers to come in via e.g. "office.mydomain.com". Are there any further conciderations in this case we should ackowledge before requesting and installing this wildcard SSL certificate from Godaddy???
