Whats blocking the fax clients from being able to send a fax to fax server?

Small Business server 2003 R2/ all current updates/ fairly new network/ orignally configured for a domain which has only five workstations, one Domain Controller, network printer, (out of the Five workstations one is XPpro SP2 and the others are Vista Ultimate SP1 fully updated) with norton corperate editon 10 for AV (antivirus)only, I'm using the SBS2003R2 todolist to setup the firewall. Now the owner of the office wants a fax server setup. So I installed a standard PCI Zoom fax modem into the server then installed the drivers and updated them. I configure the modem setings and tested tthe modem with a basic query. Then I used the Server Manager to sett up the fax server as the microsoft manual and knowledge database article described how to do it. On the server everything worked fine and I was able to recieve a fax test page from out side of the network. Now things started to go wrong when it came to installing the fax client console to the client computers. I used the client computer settup wizard for the applications and I only sellected the shared fax client on the list then selected all of the computer to have this installed on the client computers and to allow the client to modify the setup if needed. Then when I went to log on the clients I didn't see any setup wizard as the instructions claimed that should have happen and as it did when I first orginally setup the computers for the first time to the network. So I found another article claiming you had to open the IE and type in " http://servername/connectcomputer" and when I did this it came up with a screen for setting up the computer so I did that and it stated that the computer was already setup. So I went to the printer section to see if the client computer/s had a fax printer installed for the network and they did have one. So I double clicked on it and it took me to a fax console or at least on the XPproSP2 computer the Vista computers took me to its own utility called " Windows Fax and Send" console. I went through the set up portion as described in the microsoft KB article and on the XPproSP2 it worked fine up until I tried sending test page which I created right on the utility and it stated that it couldn't send it due to fax server being blocked. On the Vista computers during the setup it gave an error after it found the server and the fax server. Then it stated it coundn't find any cover pages, so I clicked ok and it toke me to the page where you could type a fax so I did but when I went to send it I got this message "  unable to send due to Media being write protected" . How could this be so when I just created a page with in the console? On the XPpro Sp2 I thought that a local firewall was enabled and it was so I disabled it and stil the same result.
