Hi,
I am working on a computer running Windows Small Business Server 2003. The connections are setup as:
Internet Connection -> Router -> SBS -> Client Computers
I need to access the router that it is connected to, to open some ports. The server has a static IP, using the gateway 192.168.1.1. I am able to access web pages, and I have connected to the server over remote desktop, so I can only assume the router is in (relative) working order. However, when I try to access the router setup page @
http://192.168.1.1, internet explorer cannot connect. I have tried to ping 192.168.1.1 with no result.
I believe that my co-worker has accessed the router setup page in the past (it is in the trusted sites list, and the history) and I believe I have a vague memory of logging onto it as well.
I do not have physical access to the server and router, however I will try to have someone reboot the router today. Any other ideas what might be causing the problem?
