c: drive almost full - can I remove $NtUNinstall files?
10GB partition struggling to see what is taking all the space up. Desperate to free up some space as down to last 100MB.
Is it ok to delete these hidden files - and other like them?

Well, if you listened to drequinox before reading my article, then you have created problems for yourself. $hf_mig$ should be LEFT ALONE.
Windows\system32\logfiles - the sub directories (espically the smtp ones) can fill up with log files which you delete. If exchnage is on C drive, under exchange mail root vs 1 badmail its safe to delete and c:\windows\kb*.log

I specifically said DO NOT delete the $hf_mig$ directory in my above comment.

The disk cleanup did the job but fortunately I had not deleted the hf_mig file so higher points to the others. That article is difficult to understand - saying things like move it to a different spindle. Could do with a simpler guide!

However there is a message saying files requiring Windows to work have been replaced by unrecognised versions, need to restore them from origonal CD. Will try that onsite tomorrow
