Issues with WSUS

Hi
I am trying to fix and existing WSUS server.
The clients are not reporting back to that server.

The GPO is set to servername:8530, clients can telnet into the server on that port. However if I try to access the following url from the web browser it fails

http://server:8530/selfupdate/wuident.cab

However on port 80 it does work.
http://server/selfupdate/wuident.cab

Is this normal ? Does that mean that the GPO should be set to port 80 ?
