Mem Usage is high for sqlservr.exe

I ran the Health_Monitor on my SBS2003R2 server with 4gbRAM and noticed a Critical alert on "Allocated Memory"  It suggested that I check the task manager to see whats up.  In Task manager I find 3 instances of sqlservr.exe running with mem usage of 1.6g, 119m, and 46m.  The 1.6g concerns me and is what I presume is causing the alert (there were no other apps using a large amount of mem).  Now..  as far as I know we are not running any apps that use SQL Server.  We're a very basic organization (church) and use the server for file storage only.  Apps that are running on clients include MS Office 2007 (but outlook uses POP3 accounts, no exchange), and Quickbooks. Perhaps QB uses SQL, I'm not sure, but at the moment no one is running QB.  So my question is:  Is it normal for an instance of sqlservr.exe to use this big a chunk of memory and if not, any suggestion on what to do about it?  Btw, when I open the "SQL Server Service Manager" from the systray, it has no servers or services listed in the drop-downs.

Also, this is the first time I've run the health monitor so for all I know this has been happening ever since we installed the server.  It's been running for about 10 months.Start Free Trial
