I've got a client who has 2 offices connected by a T1. On the NY side there is a SBS server with 192.168.1.x network; On the NJ side its 10.0.1.x - I plan to clean it up as a using class-c's that are adjacent, but I don't want to do it now b/c we are way over budget & already working for free. I also dint want to have to reprogram the Cisco's & static IP phones... at least not now.
ANYWAY: When I try to connect the NJ workstations via Network Configuration Wizard, I get a 403.6 error, "Forbidden: IP Address of the client has been rejected." I'm sure theres an ACL or something in IIS that's blocking me maybe even a registry or all of the above. But I can't find any of it. I also don't want to hack through it & break some of the inherent security by opening up too much. I already turned off the windows firewall on the server... But, that I'll probably turn back on.
Question: How do I open up SBS to accept clients on the remote side of the WAN. First I'll need to get through the client setup. Then they'll need access for file/print/sql & exchange services. Routing cant be the issue b/c everything worked fine before we upgraded the server.
