Just a few questions for you:

Both servers are running the same version of SBS? What version of SBS i.e. 2003, 2008 r1, r2 are you running? Are the system times on both machines acurate? Any other traffic from Server B being blocked getting to server A?

Is the DFS service running on both serves? Are the default folders used for the sahre created, SBS does not create these by default.

Thanks hope that helps.

-Cheers-

Ok, this was placed in the Small Biz server area not the Windows Server area. If this is Windows Server Standard or enterprise have you reviewed the step by step guide listed here:
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc737358.aspx

There may have been something missing, check the bottom of this article for step by step walk through on setting up replication.

Hope that helps

What error is reported if any in your event logs on the server? Are there temp files for Office or something that could be locking, do you have full rights to whatever your trying to share or move?

Also, are there any WINS or DNS issues you may be missing and you are trying to access these as admin/ with admin rights correct?

Also, is the DFS service running? Typical MS it may have stopped or errored out and decided it want to quit. Restart the service and run the DFS wizard again with a new share to see if that kicks off the service again.

Hope that with the link from before helps.

Short of removing the shares and running through the steps including the wizard step by step to ensure you have not missed something small durring the setup, I'm out of ideas here. I'll keep my eye open and if I see anything I'll repost, best of luck to you.

The DFS Replication service stopped replication on replicated folder Public at local path E:\Public due to Erorr ID: 9003 (The replication group is invalid). Event ID: 4004

Has anyone found a resolution to this?
I am having the same issue.
Server A will sync with Server B, but B won't with A and gives the error "dfs replication wmi connection or synchronization object was not found" on server A when trying to sync from Server B.

by: Handersson75Posted on 2009-06-03 at 23:29:57ID: 24544015

Nope, we still having the same problem, so i did redo all the DFS config again but didnt work i end up with 2 warnings, each server got one...

This member is waiting for initial replication for replicated folder Public and is not currently participating in replication. This delay can occur because the member is waiting for the DFS Replication service to retrieve replication settings from Active Directory. After the member detects that it is part of replication group, the member will begin initial replication

Replication not working. Realmanage, your problem could be the file sync conflict in confilict folder. Check that out.

by: Handersson75Posted on 2009-06-16 at 05:30:21ID: 24637252

Ok its working now, the reason why it didnt work was, after i rebuild DFS, the replication still not working, this is very weird but i did a misstake, i build the DFS on a secondary server B and point the Primary server A as main and some reason the DFS dont like that and initial replication took forever.

After i rebuild the DFS once again in Server A and set it as primary, it starts to synk. Working very well now, thanks for your kindly help.
