DcPromo fails to install Active Directory Domain Service
My supervisor is attempting to promote an SBS 2008 server via dcpromo.
All the initial steps that DCpromo asks for is fine we unchecked the DNS server option and hit next to continue. After 10 - 15 seconds we get an error stating " Active Directory Domain Service could not install. The Replication operation failed to allocate memory. The machine in question is a xeon system with 8 GB of ram so it shouldnt have a memory issue.

You should run the continue setup wizard and not try to promote an SBS box using dcpromo.

I have exactly the same issue, I am trying to join SBS to our existing domain. I can ping our master server by ip and dns name, I have cleared the security logs, dns settings are pointing to the correct DC.
I have implemented the virtual memory recomendation i found online.
The SBS server has 8 Gigs of ram and is fresh with no demanding apps or roles.
I cannot find the "continue setup wizard" on the 2008 SBS machine on the desktop or i programs and features.
Any inkling
Thanks
