Does anybody know a simple way to preserve file ownership & dates create/modify/access when migrating my data files to the new server?
Of course, the simplest answer is "Don't bother to preserve these attributes".
Instead create a report of ownership with batch command: dir *.* /s /q > myreport.txt

Exchange emails do NOT need to be migrated.
The only important metadata is file ownership, dates created/modified/accessed.
I'm 99% sure that ntBackup will handle the dates created/modified/accessed automatically.
But, I don't think ntbackup will restore the file owner because the new server is not going to have the same UID's for the users.
