SBS 2003 Won't Boot Into Normal Mode

Came in one morning and found the SBS 2003 frozen.  After rebooting, the server hangs at the scrolling bar and never actually boots into Windows.  It will boot into safe mode.  After extensive troubleshooting with MS, it was determined the hard drive had bad blocks.  We cloned the drive, and since the new drive showed the same symptoms, we attempted to do a Windows repair.  But when booting from CD, and just after loading the SATA drivers from floppy, I get the following message:

"\win32\aarich.sys caused an unexpected error (18) at line 2187 in d:\srv03rtm\base\boot\setup\oemdisk.c"

Any suggestions on how to get past this issue?

Get your adaptec driver cd, and reinstall the adaptec driver...  But before all this happened, did you do a driver update or a firmware update?  Anyways, consider this...  Maybe it wasn't the Harddrives that were having the issue... maybe it's the scsi card reading the HD's...  doesn't it seem off that 2 drives would have bad blocks/same symptoms?

Thanks, b1ackfox for the reply.  The server only has a single drive, and I think the reason it has the same issue is because the clone was not able to copy the affected part of the drive.  So if a particular dll was not accessible due to the bad block, that same dll was probably not copied during the clone.

I got the CORRECT Adaptec driver with the assistance of MS and Intel (which no longer supports that m'board).  This allowed a Windows repair, which worked fine for a few days and began crashing again, ane eventually would not boot into Windows again.  We ended up with a complete reinstall.
