To my knowledge, I am going to say No after looking and asking around. Comments is the most common computer field for description information about the device. Sorry I can't be more help. The comments field can contain 255 char so can you tell me what you are trying to accomplish to see if I can maybe offer an alternative.
I name all my workstations WS1, WS2, WS3, etc. This makes them easily moveable around the office to other users. When a computer gets moved to another user, it's so much faster to just update the computer description field (unfortuntaely the description field in AD and on the local computer's system properties is not the same, requiring change in two locations), rather than changing the computer name. Now that SBS 2008 Remote Web Workplace displays the Computer Description, the user can identify their computer easily. SBS 2003 RWW did not.
I would love to be able to view/edit the Computer Description from the SBS 2008 Console too.
