Backup Software

Ok, so the new Windows Server Backup 2008 is horrible. It's not even exchange aware? Come on! Looks like Microsoft did this to push their new DPM software. Anyway, I would like to know what backup software the experts recommend. I was going to go with Acronis and I have heard mostly good things about them. Before I do though, I wanted to see if anyone had any major issues with their software.

I'll distribute points to everyone who provides useful info...

I guess I should mention that this is Windows SBS 2008 x64 edition...

The backup that comes with SBS 2008 is Exchange aware. It is only the backup that comes with the full product that is not. Therefore as an SBS user you are getting more than the full product users (for a little while longer yet as the backup module is in Exchange 2007 SP2).

Where the client wants something else, I am tending to use Backup Assist. It works very well and is pretty cheap compared to something like Backup Exec.

Full product - not SBS.
As in Exchange 2007, Windows 2008, being bought as standalone products.

The posting you have pointed to, along with many others is refering to the full product, not SBS.
