Question

SBS 2008 during mini setup is unable to display the video mode

We've tried 10 different monitors so far and nothing works, POST stuff displays OK but once the mini setup starts the video turns off.

Any advise will be appreciated

try booting into safe mode and uninstalling and re-installing the video driver.

Oh, in 2008 you can rely on windows update for your drivers, all you need to do is boot into safe mode and uninstall the current video driver, reboot (hopeully now into normal mode) and run windows update.

The alternative is going to the website and downloading the video driver manually.

Is it possible to get a generic ATI or NVIDIA graphics card in there temporarily? That would be my next move.

we called Dell and they said the image was improperly created, cannot be fixed
