godaddy and my exchanger server

I route all my mail with godaddy. I just purchased sbs 2008.  I can receive mail with pop easy to set up but the smarthost for smtp or setting up a smtp connector I am have problems

godaddy smtp information is smtpout.secureserver.net so I have a problems

Can any one help. pictures would be nice.

Hello poston,

I'd love to help but you really need to tell me what the problem is first :-)  You have told me the smarthost address that you are trying to use and have only said that you are having problems.  Could you try and be more specific please?

I can't send any email to the outside world. But i can receive email. I have delete the smtp connector tried to create one manually and used the my user name and password to godaddy email and still it does not relay the message to the outside world. I get the message is delayed by the exchanger server it will try again on some future time.

here are my steps.
I open exchange management console
click on the  hub transport
click send connectors
right click add new
Type in a name for the connector
I select internet for the intended use
to check domain I use the * to check all domains and subdomains
I edit smarthost so it will use smtpout.secureserver.net
source server is local server because I only have one.
complete.
rebooted server
try to send email and still
same delayed message a day later.

OK - you should use the SBS 2008 wizard to configure the new SMTP smart host.  Doing the job manually might be the reason for your problem.  Try the following steps:

1.  Load the SBS 2008 Management Console
2.  Click on 'Network' on the top bar.
3.  Click on the 'Connectivity' tab.
4.  At the bottom of the screen you will see 'Internet Email'.
5.  Right-click on 'Smarthost for internet email'.
6.  Select the option to view properties.
7.  Press next at the initial screen.
8.  Enter your SMTP server details and username and password.
9.  Allow the wizard to complete and check to see if it has worked.

When entering your SMTP server address it sometimes works better if you use an IP address and not a hostname.  I do this because I experience problems when using the hostname which is smtp.btinternet.com.  When I give it the IP address it works flawlessly.  Try this and see if it works for you too.

thanks I figure it out. I need to login into godaddy and make sure my mx record is pointing my static ip.

look here is detail information Go daddy is hosting my domain. www.webshelby.net I installed sbs 2008 LAN IS server1.webshelby.local I set up the dns to read webshelby.net and local. by creating a www to point to godaddy ip for me. This works fine. I have a mx record that point to server.webshelby.local and one to mail.webshelby.net
I access godaddy and created a mx record for mail.webshelby.net mail I can receive from godaddy fine.

Now, in exchange I configure the sbs console click on the network tab and click on the connectivity tab and selected smart host view outbound internet email and set to webshelby.net

Godaddy uses for one to send email there smtp connection is if I'm using outook with out exchange is smtpout.secureserver.net port 465
in the smart host do I need to insert smtpout.secureserver.net or my enternal : webshelby.local, webshelby.net or mail.webshelby.net or something else.

In the smarthost box you need to use smtpout.secureserver.net and provide the relevant login details.  See my post, above, for the full steps to take.

The solution is absolute. However I submitted wrong information. Although the anwser will work if I had a vds or ds to work with.
