Asked by NGPSoft1 in SBS Small Business Server, Windows Server 2008
I am adding a Windows Server 2008 domain controller to an existing SBS 2003 domain. I am following the instructions in the Microsoft article below.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc708131(WS.10).aspxOn step 14 of "To join a computer running Windows Server 2008 as an additional domain controller to the Windows SBS network" it instructs you to clear the DNS server check box.
Here are my questions.
1. Is there a problem with running the Windows 2008 server as a DNS server in a SBS 2003 domain?
2. Why does it instruct you to clear the DNS server check box?
I want to be able to use the Windows 2008 DC as an additional DNS server.
