but how come the administrator had 2 different password? and the system recovery one still keep the old one, and I use the new one to login the windows? is it some where I can update the password into the same one?
thats wierd how can 1 account , local admin, have 2 passwords
because one is the domain admin account and the other is the directory services restore mode password which is a local password
once you reset the restore mode password, just reset it to match your main domain admin account password, you can use for example Offline NT Password & Registry Editor to reset the restore mode password or any local nt password for that matter

can I login into Server 2008 by the new admin password and change the local admin password in the setting?
If you use the utility i suggested you need to boot onto directory services restore mode immediately after using it, you will then be able to log in using the newly reset password, then you can reset the domain administrator account's password, search for it on Google.
