Browse All TopicsI get a 404 error when trying to go to the public facing URI for our server.(i.e. http://[domain name].com/). This was the standard front page that gives access to Outlook (OWA), shared drives, and remote logins for the computers in the office.
Background
I did updates on the server (SBS 2011 Standard) over the weekend. It included Service Pack 1 for Microsoft SharePoint 2010. I had to run the SharePoint 2010 Products Configuration Wizard to upgrade the databases. Then I noticed that I couldn't see the public facing site.
IIS
In IIS, the Default Web Site refuses to start. It says that another site may be using the same port. Ports 80 and 443 are listed in its bindings.
Both the Default Web Site and SharePoint Web Services have question mark over their globe icons. None of the other sites do.
The SBS Client Deployment Application site says that host name SBSConnectComputer is tied to port 80.
SharePoint
It lists a site as [server name] - 80. I'm guessing the 80 is for port 80, but I don't know.
Any ideas?
