licensing sbs2003

Hi,

I have a sbs 2003

I have 40 license, 5 given by microsoft or build-in CAL and another 35 i purchase from microsoft.

This morning i a message pop up saying that my CAL has exceeded and i cannot add user. Then i go to licensing and found that all my license are gone.

So i restore back my license by remove my old licstr.cpa and rename my autolics.tr to licstr.cpa

By that method i able to retrieve back all my license key to my licensing window.

From my licensing window i can see:

Organization:   ...
product ID:   ....
Installed License: ....
Maximum Usage:  ....
and a list of my license key.

Now, my problem is that

My maximum usage is 40 but my maximum usage is 5

and i keep receive the message of my license key reach its maximum.

Any idea?

Have you check and verified the license server in question is still the preferred license server  it sound like your license  server is not longer giving out CALS to clients so it may be defaulting to the 5 users. Verify your actual license server is available on the network at the time the users log on and request a CAL.

if it is a Software EMAIL filter. it should be set as an ADD on mo MS Exchange. Must add ons to Exchange come from Anti-Virus software, Is this correct to assume?
