Backup for 2008 Small Business Server 2008

I have a new Account with Small Business Server 2008

They currently have Fbackup backing up to a USB DRIVE.

It is currently not backing up Exchange.

What is a Good Inexpensive backup Software that will accomplish this?

Use the built in Windows Server Backup.  It can do full Exchange "aware" backups and the price is perfect at FREE!

Here is a technet artcile on what this entials (unlike most TechNet articles this has very few steps):

I would second gmrstudios' comment.  Windows Server Backup has some limitations but it can be very effective nonetheless.  Give it a try with an external hard drive (must be 512-sector drive; watch out on 2T or larger externals) and see if it does the job.  It is fairly quick and straightforward to set up.

you get what you get for free...just a reminder. I like MS backup solution but when they day comes and you're faced with, "where is all my data" and "how long will we be down" you wished then you spent $500 on backups. Just something to think about
How big is the external hard drive?  If it is 2T or larger, have you confirmed that it uses 512k sectors?
buy a MyBook western digital drive and format the drive without using xp mode, you'll have to connect it to a workstation first, run the WD quick formatter and you'll be fine after.
It's a 1 TB USB External Drive
How large is the data you are backing up?  Is the 1TB drive enough to back up your data?

What is the exact error code you are getting?

On a side note.  Windows Backup is more than capable of accomplishing what you want.  Yes, you can drop $500 bucks for a backup solution but its unnecessary, especially for a single server.
The data is only 328Gigs Total

The Error is:

#1:

Exchange VSS Writer (instance f7af1c2d-c87b-4119-ac87-9c0a376dcd22:5) has unsuccessfully completed the backup of storage group 'First Storage Group'. No log files have been truncated for this storage group.

#2:
Information Store (2924) Shadow copy instance 5 aborted.

#3:
Backup started at '8/4/2013 6:00:01 PM' failed with following error code '2155348010' (One of the backup files could not be created.). Please rerun backup once issue is resolved.

Thanks

That is an error you can get with other than 512-byte sectors (though likely not the only cause).  Try this just to be sure (must be run from an elevated CMD prompt):
fsutil fsinfo ntfsinfo <drive letter>:
Then see what follows "Bytes per physical sector".
This is what it gives me:

There is your problem: Bytes Per Sector: 4096.
I believe that WD has a utility to convert the drive to 512 bytes per sector, but I am not finding it now.  I'll look some more later.
I believe that this is what you can use:
http://wdc.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/search/1/a_id/3868

Expect to lose ALL data on the external hard drive when you run this.
buy a MyBook western digital drive and format the drive without using xp mode, you'll have to connect it to a workstation first, run the WD quick formatter and you'll be fine after.
as mentioned before.
You are correct at having mentioned the software earlier, works2011.  It is critical to note that it is to be used to set it to 512-byte mode.  I believe that one can use the quick formatter and still end up with 4096-byte sectors.
I will run the utilty tomorrow morning
Downloaded It

Ran it

Formatted it.

But when I did the backup ran if formatted the drive first and then bomed out

I am getting very frustrated with MS Backup
Went to the Storage Craft Website

Downloaded and Installed SBS Version

Ran it....Did a Restore to a different drive...

Works Like a Champ.....
