SBS 2011 Exchange Restore Trashed OWA (Exchange & RWW Fine)
Hi all,
So we recently had a customer server have an unexpected shutdown due to power failure and UPS failure. Exchange crapped out so we restored Exchange from a backup from two nights before:
c:/program files/microsoft/exchange server
The previous admins left the Exchange Database in this location (default location).
When the server was restarted, everything performed fine again, with Exchange working, emails being delivered and received ok, etc. Unfortunately, Outlook Web Access is giving an error though. After disabling custom errors to get more info, we get this error:
When I browsed to the c:\program files\microsoft\exchange server\v14\ClientAccess\ow a folder mentioned above, I noticed a bunch of 'copy of' files created on the date of the backup (judging from their file name) that seem to be being referenced by OWA somehow - very strange:
Does anyone have any idea of the best way to diagnose this? We've tried running the 'Connect to the Internet' wizard which reconfigures remote access and IIS but no luck.
