Hi - I'm a cert newbie, but I thought I did this correctly. One of my clients has an exchange server that we've setup OWA, and are trying to get to get it working by using
http://exchange.xxxx.com. I ordered a cert from Godaddy, went thru the steps in IIS of generating the request, cut/pasted the contents of the txt file into the field on godaddy, it confirmed what i was doing, sent the cert request, and it was accepted. Seemed simple enough. After it was acceepted went back to the godaddy account, downloaded the exchange.xxxx.com.crt file to the C drive on the server. Went back into IIS, into the web server certificate wizard to "process the pending request and install certificate" - it says to enter the path of the certificate of authority's response, so i'm assuming this is where i point it the CRT file even though its looking for a CER file. So i point it to the CRT file, click next and get a message that says: The pending certificate request for this response file was not found. The request may be canceled. You cannot install selected response certificate using this wizard. i'm not sure where things went wrong or why this is happening, or how to correct - any input would be appreciated!
