Thanks. I am trying that now. Do you think it would make a difference if i just download and execute as opposed to download, burn, execute?

Browse All TopicsI've had to reformat and re-create my workstation. Now I am re-installing some of the tools I had before. When I try to install the SMS Admin Console I am running into trouble.
I browse to the C:\SMS\bin directory and run the SETUP.exe
Select to Install the SMS Administrator console and related tools (only available option)
Agree to the license agreement.
Enter in my SMS Site server name.
On the next screen, the SMS Administrator Console Installation Options, the available options box is blank.
I am able to select next and the installation completes successfullly and a program group is created on my Start menu. However, there's nothing in the group?
Any ideas?

I ran into this issue and spoke to Microsoft on the phone regarding the install of Admin console. I was attempting an install from the network. They suggested that I try an install using different media, so I downloaded the install package from our Volume Licensing Site and burned it to disk. The local install from disc worked without a problem.
