Browse All TopicsHello,
On one primary SMS Server I still have the following error lines in mpcontrol.log file:
Failed to send http request /SMS_MP/.sms_aut?MPLIST. Error 12029 $$<SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER>
Http verification .sms_aut (port 80) failed with no header received $$<SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER>
I tried already the SMS MPTroubleshooter but everything was OK there, also reinstalling the MP or the IIS did not resolve the problem.
Does anyone of you have an idea

the error stands for :
12029 ERROR_INTERNET_CANNOT_CONN
The attempt to connect to the server failed.
You also mentioned that you have re-installed IIS. Reinstalling IIS will remove all virtual directories.
The MP Control manager is trying to contact /SMS_MP/.sms_aut?MPLIST
Check if the virtual directory SMS_MP exists in IIS. If not reinstall the MP to create this virtual directory.

Can you try installing MDAC (maybe version 2.8) and restarting the SMS agent host on the server?
