Outlook 2003 Calendar

We are using Exchange 2033 and Office 2003. A user will send a meeting request and it will appear in the calendar. But a day before or on that day when the user opens the calendar the meeting request will disappear from the calendar on both ends the user that sent the request and the user excepted the meeting request .
