Microsoft Windows 2003 DNS newbie Question

Asked by swgallagher in Active Directory, Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Server

Windows 2003 Server / DNS
I have a website hosted, accessible from the outside of my network.. https://secure.mysite.com
From the inside of network, I can only see the website hosted on the  server by local IP / Server name....
i.e.) https://192.168.101.100/website
The outside world can see the server as expected via https://secure.mysite.com

The software that works with the website requires that the local side or inside of the network be able to resolve the https:// public address.

My vendor suggests creating an internal DNS record for our network that will resolve the https:// public site to the local IP address of the web server...
https://secure.mysite.com resolves to --->  https://192.168.101.100/website
I'm not too sure how to set this up!
