Errors in a Server 2K3 domain

I have a Windows Server 2003-based (Windows 2000-mixed) domain that I am having some strange issues on.  One of the computers is wired, and I have no problems with that computer mapping drives or accessing the server through Windows Explorer.  However, the other is a laptop that is both wired and wireless.  When first joined to the domain, this laptop is wired (so that I can logon), however, when I disconnected the wired and used the wireless, problems occurred (the problems occur on both wired and wireless connections, now). Although I could logon (saved passwords), my previously mapped drives did not connect.  I received an error "could not connect.... the device is in use."  When I disconnected the drive and attempted to reconnect, a prompt asking for username and password appears.  My normal login name does not work (the one I used to login to the laptop), however, other usernames work.  When attempting the original login, an error saying "This username is the same that you are logged in with.  This username has already been tried.  A domain controller could not be found to verify the user"  .Furthermore, when I attempt to connect to the server through explorer, I also receive a prompt.  This time, putting just the username and password in works, but if I add the "@Sub.Domain" suffix, I get the "already tried error" from above.

I have not tried unjoining and rejoining the domain because, although this could fix it, in the event that this happens again, leaving and rejoining might not be possible.Start Free Trial
